The last time that Ed and I went to the Hard Rock Casino, we noticed that one of our favorite restaurants, Floyd's, was closed for remodeling. The outside walls had been torn down and the outside landscaping had been dug up. We figured that they were adding more space, maybe even an outdoor patio.
Nope...that is not what is happening at all. By year's end, a new, expanded restaurant will open. A much larger Hard Rock Cafe that will rival Hard Rock Cafes in other major cities.

Among the standout features will be blackjack tables in the middle of the restaurant with Seminole Hard Rock Girls as dealers. (this should really bring the men in, as these girls are gorgeous) There will also be a display kitchen where you will be able to watch them cook.
A new, larger stage will have nightly shows and focus on country and rock music from the 1970s, '80s and '90s, with classic rock bands, like Styx and other well known bands, that are touring again.
The new restaurant will be 17,500 square feet and will seat 350...nearly twice the size of Floyd's. It is being touted as a "beta test" site for new technology and features for other Hard Rock Cafes around the world. The restaurant will have an elevated stage and a multimedia "canopy" arched over the two-story space. A Rock Shop store will sell items such as clothing, gifts and pins.
I am kind of excited to see the new place, but I am really sorry to see Floyd's go. Floyd's was fine dining with a Mediterranean flair. We really loved the food!
I wonder if we will get free meal coupons for the Hard Rock Cafe, like we used to get for Floyd's? Only time will tell.

I would have much prefered that "Floyd's" had been left alone. If they had to expand any of the food operations consideration should have been given to building the Cafe at another area on the reservation. It's not like the Seminole Tribe doesn't have the land to make it happen. The casino is where they are making their money but they are probably one of the worst casino's regarding jackpots or payouts.
Adding a Hard Rock Cafe is going to be nothing more than a novelty for people to look into and take in the different items that they hang on the walls. Will I go if my wife, Juvinurse, is offered the opportunity for free dinners? Yes, I will. But I won't go in and pay for a meal, much less a drink because of the aforementioned reasons. The food sucks and the prices suck even more.
BTW...on Gather, I am Nurse Nancy. Most people do not know me as Juvinurse.
You have a players card for the Casino, don't you? Don't you get comped for meals?

When I was in Orlando end of July, we had a coupon for a Buy one Dinner Get one free. This was for my Birthday. Plus I got a free dessert, from them, they all came out singing. (my birthday is July 4th) This coupon which was sent in e-mail is Different from the one on the Hard Rock site. The one on the Hard Rock website made you buy a entree and 2 coca-cola drinks. My coupon was buy any entree get any entree free - no drink purchase required.
