One never knows when funny-woman Chelsea Handler is being serious. But, during a comedy monologue on the show, "Chelsea Lately", she announced she split from her zoologist beau, Dave Salmoni. Â Meanwhile, a fifty-one-year-old woman has sued entrepreneur and rap-mogul, Sean "Diddy" Combs for age discrimination, twenty years after she claims she helped jump-start his career.
First: The Chelsea Handler Split

The funny, witty, and off-the-cuff comedian Handler, 35, made a startling announcement on her show, "Chelsea Lately" Wednesday night, stating that her relationship with Dave Salmoni is officially a split.
Dave Salmoni, 34, considered a "hunk" by Handler, has made his career working with "Animal Planet".
This is the announcement Handler made of the split from Dave Salmoni:
“I have been working for the E! Network for over three years now, and in addition to hosting this chuckle fest of a show, I’ve given many suggestions on how to improve the quality of their entire network. As you can tell by the current line-up of shows, they have taken none of my suggestions. So I’ve decided to consult for other networks."
At first glance, it appeared as if the funny-woman comedian was splitting from "E" but it became obvious she was splitting from David Salmoni. She went on to announce the formal split.
“Up until a couple weeks ago, I was working very intimately with the Animal Planet, but unfortunately, that contract was terminated,†she laughed. “However, I enjoyed being in bed with them and may hook up for an occasional project.â€
It became clear she was announcing the split from Salmoni. Very funny, Chelsea!
We will see more of Handler, soon, as she is hosting the anticipated VMA's. What does she have in store? Perhaps, she will arrive on the "red carpet" on the back of an emu.
Second: Details why Sean "Diddy" Combs is sued for age discrimination
According to the Huffington Post, 51-year-old Francesca Spero filed a legal action against Sean "Diddy" Combs in a federal court in New York City.
Spero alleges that in 1988, she introduced "Diddy" to Russel Simmons, hip-hop extraordinaire, and "Uptown Records". Francesco worked for "Diddy's" "Bad Boy Entertainment for a period of 12 years, and was suddenly terminated without cause. Her belief is that she was fired for being too old, aka age discrimination.
Papers filed in the Manhattan court about "Diddy" being sued, state that Francesco was fired after she returned from an operation, and when she opened up in confidence to an executive about her guarded treatment for drug abuse.
A spokesperson for Combs' "Bad Boy Entertainment" confirmed that Ms. Spero is no longer employed with the company. Furthermore, they stated that she was fired from her role in the company and "there are many reasons, but age discrimination is not one of them."
That concludes this celeb mix.
What are your thoughts?
Was the announcement of Handler’s split from Dave Salmoni lacking in class, or this is what we’ve come to expect from Handler? After all, she is a comedian. Or, maybe that is her way of healing.
The face of hip-hop has youth written all over it. It just doesn’t bode well to have a Bill Cosby type doing rap or hip-hop, but does that make it right to fire someone for being “over-the-hill†and heading “down-the-mountain
The law actually gives rights to business owners under some conditions to legally discriminate. Was this one of them?
