Ever wonder how the Tea Party could draw people? Ever wonder how are they dumb?Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally last weekend drew a good size crowd, almost entirely made up of white people who adore Beck, the Tea party and Sarah Palin. In many cases these people spent a good bit of money and traveled a long way just to stand in the heat and be near other people just like themselves.
Anyone who remembers World War II wondered how Hitler could have brainwashed so many other-wise good people in Germany to accept such hair brained ideas and the concept of Arian Supremacy, the ideology the Jews caused most of the worlds problems and were an inferior people, and that Germany was destined to rule the world. It almost blows one mind to thin how millions of well meaning people could allow such ignorance and hate come to power. But it wasn’t all that simple, there were years of very organized and sophisticated brainwashing of he masses. The Germans had turned propaganda into a science. Today a lot of the same ideas perfected by Germany in that period are taught as “marketing” today.
Looking at Beck’s followers and Tea Party members, it may be a lot easier to understand what happened in Europe in the 1930’s. today we have billionaires like the Koch brothers spending hundreds of millions of dollars to collect and motivate people much in the same way as Hitler and Himmler did in the 1930’s. Buy using front groups like “Freedomworks” and “Americans for Prosperity” (which they exercise stern control over) they pump out propaganda material and training classes designed to fool gullible people by manipulating their dears and resentments and reinforcing their paranoia and bigotry.
It takes more than money and sophisticated brainwashing though to accomplish what people like the Koch brothers and others want. It takes an uniformed, weak and gullible resource of people who have enough money and clout to get attention.
Watch this video and you will get a sense of how things like this can be accomplished. Pay attention to the Beck rally attendees and what they say…. You can see that they are totally out in left field and have no idea what is going on!

If you were talking about Obama promises and how wonderfully his achievements have worked, Beck would be irrelevant. But you aren't and he isn't.

Who are they? Are there some? Just because I don't know any doesn't mean there aren't people somewhere who hang on his every word and think he can do no wrong. I just don't hear or read much about people like that. I accepted Obama's humanity a long time before I decided to vote for him.
I think the Koch brothers are interested in dictatorship, especially a dictatorship they could run. I don't understand what that has to do with anyone's opinion of Obama.

The only people I hear saying that "this administration has divided the American people" are those that live in a world where Rod Serling stands around all day smoking cigarettes. These ideas that Obama is dividing people over race and other issues don't have much substance other than what floats around the conservative echo chamber. Just like the video, in this article. These people all repeat the same slogans, and when they're asked for examples to back up their opinion their face goes blank as they try to come up with one.
Why don't you get someone on the left to debate Beck, or Gingrich, Thomas Sowell, Mark Levin, Walter Williams, Paul Ryan, or Herman Cain instead of picking on regular citizens who know something is rotten in the country and are trying to do something about it by calling (again) on God's guidance and help?

If you are going to post unsubstantiated claims and other poppycock then by definition you are asking for debate (and correction).
People have used the same techniques to manipulate public opinion in every society where public opinion mattered to the people in power. The big change in the twentieth century was the explosion of of mass media. When Wilson flogged WWI, print and movies were the big media. By the time Hitler was in power, only a few years later, radio was fully available. The Nazis learned from advertising but they also had the advantage of the ubiquity of radio.
FDR used radio very effectively. Winston Churchill absolutely killed on radio during WWII.
America also stands for the rule of law which we have all forgotten over the years and this Congress and the Obama administration has completely denied or ignored.

Get it through you heads. Freedom of religion does NOT give you the right to say your religion is any better than any others and should be 'recognized' by the government in any way, shape or form. A high level of knowledge is not necessary to acquire or to use if God is going to tell you what to do channeled through people like Beck.
Many want to take our country back before the U.S. Constitution so it can be re-written by people like Beck who will be guided by God and get it right this time.
They just can't seem to wrap their heads around the idea that despite any personal religious beliefs our Founding Fathers left God out of the Constitution for a reason.
Get out the vote in November.
