Jon Gosselin to Write Book On Parenting?

Really? Jon Gosselin is going to write a book on parenting? Who on earth would read such a thing?

According toMSN, Jon Gosselin is in fact in the early works of preparing to write a book on raising children. Apparently he is still a bit unsure as to what the actual hook will be, and as anyone who writes knows...the hook reels the readers in to read.

An unnamed friend of Jon Gosselin made the following statement to the press, which is almost as amusing as the notion of Gosselin writing a book on parenting.

"Jon is still deciding what exactly the book will be about, but knows he wants to focus on his parenting skills … There is no deal yet or timeline, but the [interest] in Jon from publishers is huge right now, so he's going to strike while the iron is hot."

MSNBC suggests that perhaps viewers had their fill of Jon's parenting skills when "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was on TV. Recently whenever the whole gang appears in photographs, Jon is seen on the perimeter, incessantly smoking butts and texting his teeny-bopper date of the day.

It would be interesting to know who gives Jon Gosselin these ideas. Is some 19-year old he picked up at a sleezy bar last Thursday suggesting he is fodder for "Father of the Year" and planting ideas in his pea brain? Or is the man really under the illusion that he has been an upstanding, wholesome dad?

MSN goes so far as to suggest that the only book Jon Gosselin has even read is an Ed Hardy catalog, and in all fairness he probably just thumbed through the pictures. Yet he plans to write a book. On parenting.
