Today was the best mail day in a long, long time. I received a copy of "The Shack," the best-seller by William Paul Young in which a character makes regular visits to God. I've heard people at work, people here at gather and people all over praising this book. I have so wanted to read it, but I never got around to buying a copy of it...and, of course, it's always checked out at the library. So, I go to my mailbox expecting a few bills and maybe a freebie...but I find a copy of "The Shack."
The return address was simply "The Shack," so I'm not really sure who my benefactor is. I do believe it is from one of my gather friends. It seems like a made a few comments about reviews of the book and perhaps I even entered a member contest. Forgive me for my forgetfulness. I am, however, sincerely grateful for this copy. And I plan on sharing it, too. My sister has already asked to borrow it as soon as I'm finished. (And she's pushing me to get started tonight so I finish soon!)
I hope the sender will make herself known in the comments before. Another reason I love gather...not only are people so generous, but they do so anonymously. I love you guys!
