In an interview with the New Zealand Herald, True Blood star Stephen Moyer claims the HBO vampire drama's famously racy nude scenes are anything but sexy to film.
"When I'm doing a sex scene," Moyer says, "all I think about is the food I'm going to eat after the scene is finished. Everybody has to starve themselves so if they put the sex scene after lunch, it's a f***ing nightmare."
Joe Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux on True Blood, agrees that hours in the gym are essential for the often-nude cast.
Moyer also admits it's difficult for him to watch his co-star and real-life fiancee Anna Paquin in intimate situations with the other actors. The couple deals with it, though.
He's convinced Paquin (whom he calls "Paq") will be with him the rest of his life. "I'm as sure of this relationship as I've ever been of anything in my life," Moyer says.
In Episode 8, Sookie broke up with Bill, but by the end of the episode they were once again professing their love and hitting the sheets (or at least the bedroom floor). It remains to be seen whether the fictional romance of Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton will survive True Blood's supernatural mayhem.
Whether it does or not, Stephen Moyer believes in his relationship with Anna Paquin.
