It seems that the jagged little pill that made Alanis famous has turned into a sweet, sweet reward.
Just two short months after marrying rapper Souleye, Alanis coyly informs the media that she's pregnant.
She dropped the news in a more subtle manner by writing a list of "25 Things You Don't Know About Me" in People. Sitting at the end of the list was a simple "I am pregnant!" statement.
Alanis tweeted her feelings about the forthcoming bundle of joy "yes, happy news....i'm pregnant :) we're so excited to start our family.... xo a"
This will be the first child for the couple who has been together since October 2009.
Us Magazine reports that Alanis and Souleye were married on May 22 in a quiet ceremony at their Los Angeles home. On June 7th she announced the wedding on her facebook page. " Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other....sending love...connect soon xo - Alanis"
It seems that what Alanis once sang about being a bitter pill to swallow has over the years turned into a sugar-coated dream.
Congrats to Alanis and Souleye. The question on many's mind is what is the baby's gender? From the looks of things, we oughta know sometime in early spring.
