I've been following MPR's Campaign 2010 coverage (naturally) and found this
Focus on... The Primary
* News Cut: Lessons from the primary
* Photos: Primary election in Minnesota
* Audio: Primary winners join Cathy Wurzer on Morning Edition
great, especially some of the comments on News Cut. What is your reaction to the Minnesota primary?

It will be interesting to see how much he spends on the main election both with his own money and through his front called Alliance for Better Minnesota.
It will be interesting how the media, including MPR, identifies Alliance for a Better Minnesota. Dayton, and his family and friends were all major donors(Lots more than what Target paid to the other group). The media was very slow to acknowledge this.
It will be interesting to see how MPR covers Dayton. The Dayton family gave MPR a bunch of money to buy the transmitter/station in Sun Valley Idaho.
Tom Emmer didn't spend much money in the primary, with no real need to, will he raise the money needed to confront the WAVE OF DAYTON?
Chris Christie, a conservative Republican, won in the liberal paradise called New Jersey being outspent greatly by union PACS, so it can be done.
I haven't been a Democrat in at least 20 years, I not sure how I'd feel with Margaret A-K losing like that. Why hold a primary? It has to be kind of defeating and hard to rally behind Dayton. Not sure how the elected Democratic officials think of Dayton. I know they like Margaret A-K.
Think if we had Emmer vs. MAK. No rich people running.
You really have to think how Dayton would do with the House and Senate. The office holding Dems may not like Emmer's policy, but they know he knows the game.
All I know is that the August primary SUCKED.
A. Most elections are held in schools and rec centers, both are not air conditioned. I was an election judge at a St Paul Rec center and it was @#%&> Hot!
B. An early primary means more time for annoying ads on TV and radio. I'm so sick of the ads come election day, I almost don't vote.
Is it normal in Minnesota for the person who got the approval of the Party to end up running against other folks and losing?
Are the Democrats in Minnesota more interested in winning primaries or winning general elections?
There you go
There will be some serious soul searching before the next Democratic convention, especially if Dayton doesn't win.
Julia, Tom should re-run that article. it's very timely right now.
During the last legislative session, MAK provided a ton of sound bites that would give fodder for many an opposition commercials.
I just wonder how many Dems will vote for Horner, or stay home.
