Lindsay Lohan being in rehab has made her basically off limits to the outside world. But, there is one woman who has managed to break the Lindsay Lohan silence – Joan Rivers. Though not exactly Lohan’s BFF, Rivers seems to have a special connection to Lindsay, and has been offering up satirical “secret messages†from the young star.
Joan Rivers has been posting the satirical messages from Lindsay Lohan daily on her Twitter account. She announced the first one on August 3rd, saying, “ATTENTION!!! Lindsay Lohan cannot tweet from rehab, but (don’t ask me how) she sends me secret messages, which I will tweet for all of you!â€
The “messages from Lindsay†range from “I’m bored in rehab†type tweets to humorous low blows. If you haven’t been following along, here are some that stand out:
“Joan: Did you know I have 109 freckles, not 108 as I thought? I have a lot of time on my hands and I found one under my…nevermind – Lindsay†– Aug. 5
“Joan: Boy, when you’re finally off crystal meth, you can get so hungry. Today I ate a meat loaf, two pot pies and my roommate. Love, Lindsay†– Aug. 4
“Dear Joan: I think I’m getting used to my room here at rehab. It’s like Jefferey Dahmer used to say: "Home is where the heart is." xoxo LL†– Aug. 9
No response yet from Samantha Ronson. If you recall, Ronson lashed out at Rivers last month for Twitter “bullying†Lindsay. Perhaps she’s still trying to come up with a Twitter comeback for Rivers. Or maybe Ronson doesn’t feel the need to defend LiLo since she can’t get any “benefits†from their relationship while Lindsay is in rehab. Who knows? Either way, it doesn’t look like Joan Rivers is going to stop churning out the Lindsay Lohan material any time soon.
