Snooki has a low approval rating for the Commander in Chief. The infamous “Jersey Shore†diva is feeling snubbed after President Obama said that he didn’t know who Snooki was on a recent appearance on ABC’s “The View.â€
Snooki told E! Online reporter, Mark Malkin, “I know he knows who I am. Why did he have to lie… He did say Snooki and JWoww about the tanning stuff [in May] and now he doesn’t know who I am? He has to stop lying.â€
Snooki is correct in saying that President Obama mentioned her in May. During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, he stated, “This next provision [in the new health care bill] is called the “Jersey Shore-Up.†It reads, “The following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill: Snooki, J-Woww, the Situation, and House Minority Leader John Boehner.â€
So, either he was lying on “The View†or someone else wrote his speech back in May. Either way, Snooki shouldn’t expect to get an apology from the President any time soon. A day after President Obama appeared on “The View†and snubbed Snooki, he took the snub a step further. While speaking at the National Urban League Centennial Conference about education reform, he had this to say about Snooki:
“I was on the “The View†yesterday, and somebody asked me who Snooki was. I said, I don't know who Snooki is… But I know some really good teachers that you guys should be talking about… I didn't say the teacher part, but I just -The question is, who are we lifting up? Who are we promoting? Who are we saying is important?â€
President Obama knows who you are, Snooki. He’s just not impressed.

I guess it is okay to promote pop icons if they share his views. Funny stuff.
I had to google "Snooki" to find out who she is - and I'm still not sure who she is. Then I googled "Obama's approval ratings" and a mayday distress call was the first thing to show up in the search.
