Pregnant Man Thomas Beatie Gives Birth to Third Child

The world's most infamous "pregnant man" has given birth to baby number three. Thomas Beatie and his wife Nancy had a baby boy on Sunday, at the St Charles Medical Centre in Oregon.

According to Thaindian News, Thomas Beatie was born a woman, and while she did undergo gender reassignment surgery, chose to keep the female organs intact as well, in order to bear children. Beatie's wife, Nancy, is unable to bear children since having a hysterectomy several years ago. The Beatie's have two other children; another boy, Austin and a little girl named Susan.

RadarOnline reports that Thomas Beatie nearly gave birth at home. The contractions were coming on quickly, but he made it to the hospital in time. Checking out just 24 hours later, he told the media that their new baby boy is just perfect.

“He’s got light brown hair and blue eyes. He’s very handsome and adorable, and he’s big and healthy,” according to a spokesperson for the family.

While it's likely the Beatie family is making good money from the publicity and interviews about the "pregnant man" aspect of their lives, hopefully they will give this all up once the children become old enough to understand that something is really different about the way they came into the world. Although some people have the capacity to be loving and accepting of others regardless of their sexuality and family lives, others could make things quite miserable for these small children, and no one in the Beatie family deserves that.
