Do you have a Facebook page?

Was just on mine a few minutes ago. Checking on family and friends, and seeing whats going on in their lives. I don't indulge in any of the games there however, as I do not have any intrest in them. Too many sites to keep track of as it is, with the limited time I have.

Was just curious, how many here on Gather indulge in that site and whats your opinion of it? I only joined about a month ago, at my grown children, request, and have kept my circle rather small.

Yes, I have a facebook account. I put my photography on there as well. Don't indulge on those games for to me its lame. Sorry everyone, just can't see myself making a garden and harvesting it when I can't even enjoy the taste of my fruit or veggies.

Do you use it for Gather too if I may ask Lena? I have tried and I guess with such a small circle it isn't really worth it to me. At least it certainly isn't showing in points lol!

I've tried it, and I guess without a good size circle of friends it isn't worth it. Not enough people to click on it. Some are even afraid to click on links there I heard.

Well, I have been on facebook for about a year and a half now. I got sucked into the games on there before I learned about sites like Gather.com, Redgage and Sidetick.
I do check it every so often as I have friends and family that leave me emails.

I was already on Gather and a couple of other sites, and fearful of adding anymore too this old computer. But most of the family have an account on here, as well as my kids, so I chanced it. I keep in touch with them this way all in one place, and with each other. But keep it simple, and have no intrest in the games. Its purely social and keeping in contact. So far no issues thank goodness.

I am on there and have been able to connect with family and friends I've lost track of over the years. I am also connected to some Gatherites on there. I started a group on there too for my hometown. I was doing some of the games, like farmville and such....but have quit playing those because they are very time consuming.

Its a nice way to stay connected, and to more than 1 person at a time as well. I have never got into the games in the first place as that was not my motive for joining to begin with. And yes it seems rather time consuming. Time is something I have very little of.
I've tried to use links to some of my post there, but it seems too many are afraid of the links. My circle there is rather small too. So Facebook hasn't helped with regards to Gather, but staying connected has been good. Im still afraid of viruses on that site, as I have heard there have been many on the site.

Hi Dee, I had one but left due to a sicko harassing me. She even followed me to another site and I had to leave there also. She knows I'm on Gather, so not taking any chances which is why I changed my name. How have you been?

Hey Mary! Must be a pain in the butt having someone stalk you lot that. I don't know how anyone can get any joy from something so stupid, but unfortunately there are people who do. Been really busy lately. Sometimes working 6 or 7 days a week. Was on one of my daily sites, trying to earn when this came up in my email. Haven't had much in the way of time to hop on Gather of late. Seems by the time I get whatever needs doing done, I have to hit the sack or I'm so tired I can't see straight. Also I am now a proud nana. Hopefully in a couple of days here when I finally get a few days off and get caught up with things I can get on Gather. Hope things are good with you, and that your idiot stalker gets a life.

Thanks dee, it does take all kinds. Congrats on your being a nana, is this your first grandchild? You have been busy, I hope you can get some relaxation time. Miss you and Rebecca, hope to see more of the both of you. Take care of yourself. : )

Yeah I have three days off! They wanted me to work tomorrow and I said no way. Been working enough. So hopefully I can get at least a little rest. Yes this is my first grandchild. Perhaps I can hop on Gather later or tomorrow. You take care as well.
