'Salt' star Angelina Jolie has finally hopped on the social media bandwagon. The famed actress and paparazzi target, has officially joined Twitter. In order to get her account going, the actress' people had to request that the current Angelina Jolie Twitter account be suspended and the turned over to her.
Don't expect any tweets from Jolie just yet. The actress' account currently is locked and will not accept followers. Her Twitter profile bio reads:
# Bio This account has been locked. NO followers are currently being accepted.
A sources close to the actress said that Angelina may start Tweeting later this year with the website. If she does it will be to promote charities or share links. Twitter is the microblogging site that allows users to send out 140-character messages known as "Tweets". Some of the biggest stars using the site include Lebron James, Britney Spears and Ashton Kucher.
It's good to see a hot commodity in Hollywood embracing the technology like so many other stars have. The next question is when will she get Brad Pitt to join up, and which of the dynamic duo would have the most followers. Who would you put your money on, Angelina or Brad?
