I Made 100 Points On Gather In 2 Weeks!

Wh-hoo! It's been about 2 weeks and I made 100 points. I'm pretty proud of myself. How long did it take you to earn 100 points on Gather? How often are you on Gather?

do you really want to know? most days I'm on gather the whole time I'm on the computer and also doing other paid to clicks and such in other windows.
I average about 100 pts a day. Today, until now I've not done anything but my daily quips post and I only have gone up 12 pts, but I'm ready to get busy on here now.

ONLY 12 points? I'm lucky if I go up about...8. LOL. So, you stay at home all day, I guess? I bet I would spend all my time on the computer if I could. I volunteered for a little bit today and I have a few other sites I participate on, so I'm on here less than I would be.

Agreed. It depends on the day. If I have school or work or volunteer work, etc. Or even if I feel sick. It all changes per day.

Well, I'm spending less and less time on here.......I found Club Bing and am over there ALL the time......love the games sooooo much.....also, I do tons of surveys for a great survey place, oh yeah, and Swagbucks.......it's super great.
Points here are way, way too slow......I know a lot of people who've given up here on Gather. My problem is, I just participate in too many other programs and don't have enough time for them all.....LOL!!!!!

Plus, I'm trying to stay off the computer more and get more done around the house!!! Just made an orange sorbet/Cool Whip/cream cheese frozen dessert for the guys for supper tonight and then I ran to the post office and stopped at my favorite thrift store!!!

I AM still waiting on my stupid payment from swagbucks. I sent them ANOTHER email about it. It's been 22 days since it was shipped. Stupid $5 Paypal card....

I have some really super easy, few ingredient, very, very good recipes.....as I'm writing a cookbook! Just a bit ago I posted the orange creme dessert one on here....hope you'll check it out! I also posted one last week for a raspberry sorbet Cool Whip dessert.....it's also really yummy!!! They're just soo easy to make!
That's a bummer about Swagbucks, as they're usually very prompt on getting payments/rewards out! Maybe they've just had an overabundance of orders and got behind! Swagbucks is VERY popular!!

I agree--Swagbucks is incredibly popular. Makes me worried they might go under sometimes. LOL

It took me a long time at first. It is getting better. I have had fifty point days. Not too many of them, though. If I get ten to fifteen points a day right now, I have been doing good. I get that done even if I am gone most of the day, like these last four days have been.

There is a lot to like on gather from the contests to the photography to my gather friends and writing posts and discussing everything under the sun.

It's fun to see your points going up too:) Life gets in the way of gathering or I'd be here more often.

Thanks. I have a few really good articles that have over 50 views on them. So, I'm pretty happy about that. I use this more as a blog sometimes though. LOL And I do comment on a lot of photography. It's my favorite thing to comment on, besides my own posts.

Oh i dont . I am not here for the points. I win WAY more than I ever earn here. from the reviews of book, movies and food it makes it all worth it:)

I now realized I make less than 10 points a day. I had one post for July 2010.
I will start to post more after the Summer has ended and my grandchildren are
back in school. I love having my grandchildren for the Summer. LOVE!

When I first joined a few years back it took no time at all to get 100 but now, with all the changes, it takes a lot longer probably 4-5 days? It depends on how much time I spend, if I post a few articles, or if I am just commenting or making friends or adding groups. Or inviting friends and they accept. So much depends on what you do.

Thanks! I heard it was easier to earn on gather a few years back than it is now. I maybe spend less than an hour a day here, so 2 weeks is fine for me to earn 100 points. I usually post an article a day, more like a blog post though and comment. What do you do? I have a few very good articles that in afraid might get stolen though.

I am on here maybe 2 hours a day, or a bit more. I comment as much as I can, post 2-4 articles, trying to do that every day but it doesn't always work out, and read my mail. If I had more time, I would try and do more. Some days I have more time. Good luck.

I write about my culinary creations, about my garden, rants when I am angry or upset, problems I have, questions I may have that have to do with something computer-ized, or about my family. There is always something to write about. Tonight it will be about our dinner.

I joined Gather a while ago, but I think I've spent more time on in the past two weeks. I'm pretty much the same as you...I spend an hour or two a day on here... and I'm up to 199 points. I'm having fun, but really looking forward to being able to cash out. It's crazy how some people earn 100 points or more everyday. I guess you start to earn more the longer you spend on here.

When I first joined, it was possible to make 100 points every day. In fact, I had days where I made over 300 points in a day. That was without having many connections and having no clue as to how to really promote my stuff outside of Gather. There were people who were doing far better than I was.

Not sure how many a day. It depends on what I do, photos, articles, etc. I used to spend lots of time, then went off for awhile. Now I am back trying to catch up. However the pointing system is a lot slower than what it used to be. But I enjoy the people here. Good luck!
