It seems to me, everywhere I go online I find google pay per click ads, advertisements to make money online, and a host of other recommendations about money making ventures.  I’m sure some are legitimate, others are not, but really who has time to click them all?
I don’t begrudge any website, blog or online business for adding a few pay per click ads to their pages.  Hey, a few extra bucks in your pocket if someone takes the plunge, why not?  Everyone is just trying to get by, and I respect that.  Personally, I do a little writing for a few web pages.  I’ve done quite a bit of freelance contract work, thereby avoiding the google revolution.  Honestly, google spooks me a little.  They track your internet activity and supply ads based on your browsing activity.  So, if your last ten searches were about credit card debt, you could find those ads popping up even while you are looking for children’s music.
Good marketing?  Absolutely.  That’s why google ads are so big.  That’s exactly why everybody signs up for their own adsense account, and also why they have a strong click-through rate.
But what about those of us who have no interest in creating our own blog or webpage.  Does the internet have a place for the common browser, who just likes to read something interesting once in a while?  Someone who doesn’t want to spend hours posting and marketing to make a few cents?  Someone who doesn’t want to rely on their friends and family to promote them?
Yes, there is.  Let me repeat that.  Yes, there is.  A friend of mine from one of my writing forums suggested it to me.  It’s a website that lets you read interesting tidbits from your selected interests, and then pays you every time you offer a rating on what you’ve read.  No surveys, no cluttering up your inbox.  In fact, I’ve only gotten emails for my initial activation and for my payouts.
No, I’m not going to retire on this.  But I like to read, so every morning I spend about 15 minutes reading, while I have my morning coffee.  I skip the articles I don’t want to read.  I rate each article I do read, and make a little extra cash for me.  I make a buck or two each day for doing it.  I am happy about this.  It’s internet justice I think.  A little reward for those of us who make up the audience of the world wide web.  It’s also free.
If you’d like to try it the link is here.  If you like it, stick with it.  If you don’t like it, give it up.  Nobody will chase you.  It’s just something I found interesting that I think others should try. Happy Reading.
