My New Dr. Is Fired

      He prescribed the wrong medication for me. The dose was unreal! I could have died. I call the pharmicist,  and he turned him into the medicai board.

I will be seeing a another new one the 28th, she has been there a long time. She is my freind Cindy's Dr. and a very good one.

Scary. I've had more issues with pharmacists than doctors. One a pharmacy gave me a completely incorrect medication-and accused me of not knowing what I was talking about. I had to call the clinic and they raised absolute hell with the pharmacist. I got a big, fat apology and a free bottle of medicine.

I am very lucky I knew what is was, Trazadone! 800 milligrams a day would kill an elephant!

That is very scary. Glad you are OK. Just goes to show Dr.'s aren't perfect, but they should be more careful. I don't like taking medicine.

wow! My mother always looks up everything prescribed to her to double check it's accuracy and cross references the other meds she's currently taking.
I am happy the pharmacist recognized the issue for you!

Wow. I have known two other people who have been prescribed the wrong medication and both times turned out to be a pretty serious mistakes. I'm glad you weren't hurt by the mistake.

Good thing you figured it out. I didn't and slept and slept once...the pharmacy gave me the wrong stuff... I always make sure I look up everything... and when I was in the nursing home I had the nurses explain what each pill was each time I got it...and it was good I did. Sometimes I was missing medication and once there was a wrong pill in the mix. Scary...

It happens all the time my friend! You are one of the lucky ones who lived to tell! EVERYONE needs to do their reasearch before they blindy slam dunk ANY scripts. We no longer live in the world of knowing our neighborhood doc. for many years! Glad you are OK my friend!

Thank-you , Rose. It has happen before with an anti-biotic. I looked at the script, and said "You do know I am allergic, it in right there on my chart".

I have had a dentist write out a prescription for penicillin after I tell them I am allergic (could have died the first time I had a reaction, but it started in my feet). Did he just ask as a formality and had no interest in my answer? As the nurse handed it to me I had to tell her.
