Short Summary of The Book of Lamentations

Lamentations: The book of Lamentations was written from an eyewitness account from the prophet Jeremiah who watched the sins of Judah continually and without repentance. After his repeated warnings of what would come as a result of their sin, the people ignored Jeremiah till finally God allowed the Babylonians to destroy and burn the city of Jerusalem and The Temple of Solomon to the ground. The book of Lamentations show how the judgment of God worked against the sins and the rebellion of Judah and shows that Jeremiah understood that God was merely using the Babylonians as a tool of bringing judgment to the city of Jerusalem.
