the truth is that everyone changes. It happens right under our very eyes. If you or I were to read a fairy-tale novel without character development we would call it unrealistic, but when it happens to the people around us, we are shocked. earlier today I was out with two of my three best friends. one of them said about the (absent) third friend: "is it just me or has she changed, like, drastically, over the past few years?"
something you have to understand is that my three best friends almost NEVER interact with one another.
the other friend there present said "yeah, I never see her, but I've noticed."
the fact is, she has. drastically. unfortunately for me, that's not a bad thing.
people change. even if it seems like it isn't a good thing, it most of the time is.
