Osama Bin Laden's son Omar, who is recently single, has expressed a wish for a date with Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore.
"I want to go to America, and I would love to meet Drew Barrymore," said Omar, 29, who recently split from wife Zaina, 25 years his senior. "I am single now and she is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood."
While it's not all too likely that drew Barrymore will comply, it is interesting to note the additional interests Omar Bin Laden has in western culture.
In addition to his Drew Barrymore fantasy, he admired actor-comedian Jim Carrey, Madonna, American football and rock music. Unlike his father, he thinks of many things in the western world in a positive light. Omar insists that he and his father differ greatly.
"It's a weak son who just wants to be like his daddy," he said. "I miss him as a father, but we are different. I want peace."
Omar Bin Laden insists he hasn't been in contact with his father since 2001, but feels positive Osama Bin Laden is still alive.
Omar, I'm going to offer you a couple of points for getting that date with Drew Barrymore. First of all, don't tell her you feel certain your father is alive. That creeps people out. People would much rather imagine a world without your father in it. Secondly, did you not just spend some time in a mental institution, and your wife left you as a result of that? That doesn't make you a really good catch right now. I think you need to let some time pass and make up some reason why you "went away." Lastly, Omar....lose the name. Like father, like son is something we're all a little preoccupied with and that won't just cost you a date with Drew Barrymore, that could cost you dates with every sane woman who walks the face of the earth.
And to Drew Barrymore, I issue this important notice. If some guy shows up at your door, says his dad is a football player and he is a rock musician named Jim Carrey Laden...and then asks you on a date--run! And by all means, don't leave him your cell phone number or Twitter handle.
