On the face of this, perhaps it is a good thing, to be concerned about health, but in reality, as with many things in islamic society, there is probably less of a concern for health and more of a wanting to control societal structures.

Oh, it should be noted that this is in the Gaza strip.

Hmm, men are also banned from working in female hair salons.

With their strict rules regarding men alone with women, I can understand why men are banned from working in a female hair salon.

I agree though. It's all about control.
