Robert "Joe" Halderman, the CBS news producer who infamously tried to blackmail Late Night talk show host, David Letterman has received and Emmy nomination. Â Robert Halderman received the Emmy nomination for his work on the CBS show "48 hours."
Halderman has been sitting in jail since May since admitting to trying to extort money from Letterman by leaking information about his affairs with other CBS co-workers. Â "Joe" (we can call you Joe, can't we?) is in the middle of a 6 month sentence. Â After turning himself in, Letterman decided to come clean to his viewers about his affairs with other employees of the network.
Robert "Joe" Halderman's Emmy nomination was in the "Best News or Documentary Emmy" category. Â He was nominated alongside three other producers for an episode of the popular CBS magazine show that aired back in April.
I guess in someways, you can't penalize "Joe" for doing great work on "48 hours," Â but what he tried to do to David Letterman back in the fall was downright low. (Not to say that Letterman should probably not mess around with co-workers)
