Michael Jackson's mausoleum in Glendale, CA has been defaced. However, Jackson fans are the ones adding graffiti outside of the tomb...and they're spreading messages of
love. TMZ has posted photos of the vandalism which has been placed in discrete locations. The messages are both hopeful and loving. One says, "Keep the dream alive".
Despite the positive notes of love, graffiti is graffiti. Security at Forest Lawn where Michael Jackson's body as been laid to rest are not at all impressed. In fact, anyone else who dares leave their mark in the form of graffiti will be banned...for life!
Really? A life ban? I agree that vandalism must be frowned upon, but let's take it down a notch. Michael Jackson loved his fans loyalty and attention. If he were looking down at them and saw them writing on the walls, he'd get a kick out of the attention. That said, let's respect the space of the dead. Leave your flowers, cards, and silver gloves. But please, no writing on or carving in the walls.
