The band Bon Jovi has long attracted a cougar crowd (like me) to its concerts, and, even at the fine age of 48, singer Jon Bon Jovi has long been part of the rock star attraction…in addition to the music, of course. However, age takes its toll and even rockers become susceptible to human frailty, the latest being Jon Bon Jovi’s injury while performing Friday night in New Jersey.
Acc
ording to People magazine, the rocker tore a calf muscle, but continued to perform despite the pain, and required the rest of the band to help him limp off stage at the end of the night. While injuries can happen to performers of all ages (and is a frequent danger to those stiletto-heeled lady performers), most continue on with the show, despite mishaps and the dreaded aftermath of YouTube videos that ensue.
The band assured its audience via a spokesperson that it will continue to keep up with its summer-filled schedule of concert dates (including appearing at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 31). With only a day off to rest, Jon Bon Jovi and the band are expected to continue the whirlwind summer touring schedule.
