It has been a long time since I've written down my "happy thoughts of the day," and in retrospect, they really helped me stay positive before. I've missed Gather, and my friends here! It's wonderful to pop back and see so many familiar faces, still posting and connecting.
Today I am grateful that the heat spell we've been in here has backed off a little bit. The thing that makes Western Upstate New York weather horrible isn't the temperature itself - it's the humidity! It gets so sticky. This is the sort of humidity I remember having as a kid. My parents would take us to orchestra concerts outside for July 4th, and if we weren't careful, our knees, legs or arms could end up sticking together, if we dared to get too close on the blanket.
We had a huge rain a couple days ago which really helped ease things. Daisy (my pembroke welsh corgi) was not amused by the storm however. Snuggled tightly under my office chair with her paws over her face, Daisy whimpered until the storm passed. I hate to admit it, but I find her cute when she does this. My dog-baby still needs her mama sometimes!

I've missed these Happy Thoughts.
Keep having positive thoughts.
The negative ones take all the energy out of you.
I'm glad your heat wave eased. My cats don't mind if it rains, but the thunder and lightning scares them a little.
That is so cute about Daisy! When she's with you, I'm sure she feels very comforted!
