DELILAH DISHWASH CHEATED THE CHAIR.

Delilah Dishwash,
Black and proud,
Slim-backed, loose-jawed, said,
Ain't nothing a man can do
A woman can't do better.
And being a brown-eyed beauty,

With an inner glow,
Took off when she was five-four
And full-breasted, married some dim-faced hog

From Memphis, and knifed him twice,
When he double-crossed her dark sweetness,
One Sunday after hymns and such,

And cheated the Chair's shock and stuff,
By breaking her neck from a tall stair.
