Olivia Palermo, perhaps best known for her spot on the television show “The City,†was on hand Wednesday, for the Elie Saab Fall-Winter 2010/2011 Haute Couture show in Paris. Palermo’s outfit can only be described as a complete fashion miss. Palermo is usually known for her keen sense of style. Take her look at the Ferrari Store opening last month for example. Impeccable.
However, Wednesday’s look found her inner style child asleep at the wheel. Palermo was wearing a purple leopard print dress, with a brown leopard print belt, gold watch and ring, silvery purse and tan heels. All could have been fine (except for the dress) if they were seen in another life, with other outfits, but together, the outfit was just a mess.
The dress… I just can’t get over how awful that dress is. I can’t think of an occasion that dress would be appropriate for. It has a 60’s Go Go dress meets 70’s Bridesmaid dress vibe to it. I want to look away, because it’s so bad. But, it’s so bad that I just keep looking.
And the belt… I’m not into the killing of endangered species, but between the belt and the dress, there are some leopards that need to be put to death.
