Today, Lohan was rightfully sentenced to 90 days in jail after being found guilty for her drug offenses and SCRAM bracelet going off. Did this young starlet really think nothing was going to happen? This may in fact be the best thing that will happen to her in a long time.
However, according to the Los Angeles Times, Lohan will most likely only serve a fraction of the 90 day sentence due to overcrowding(http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/07/lindsay-lohan-to-serve-a-fraction-of-90day-jail-sentence-due-to-jail-overcrowding.html), and I'm sure someone will pull some kind of strings. This brings me back to when Paris Hilton served a whole day or so behind bars, so heroic!
Lohan is scheduled to begin her sentence on July 20 at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood. Hopefully this will serve as a reminder that just because you are famous you cannot drive around with cocaine in your car, you cannot drink while wearing an alcohol-detection ankle bracelet, and you cannot take clothes from anywhere without paying for them. I truly hope at least a fraction of the sentence is served.
