LOUISIANA, Mo. (AP) — Authorities are scouring eastern Missouri for clues in the apparant abduction of a 4-year-old girl from the front yard of her home.
Police in the town of Louisiana say Alisa Maier was playing with her 5-year-old brother Monday night when a black four-door passenger car pulled up and took her away.
Authorities have issued an Amber Alert. Maier is described as 3-feet tall and 40 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.
KSDK reports that police have only a vague description of the alleged abductor. He is possibly a white male with dark hair and maybe in his late teens or early 20’s.
Louisiana Police Chief Richard Hughes says that the only witness to the alleged crime remains the girl’s brother.
