Janet Jackson brought the crowd in the New Orleans Superdome to their feet with a barrage of timeless music from her cherished hits.
Last Friday night she opened the first set of holiday weekend celebration of Essence magazine 40th anniversary: the Essence Music Festival.
It's quite long time we didn't see Janet Jackson perform on major event since that Superbowl halftime fiasco with Justin Timberlake.
Jackson started with everything you would imagine: more backup dancers than her brother Michael Jackson, seamless choreography, great lighting and the chart toppers. She exploded with in the opening number with vintage dance moves and the fans were thrilled and ecstatic to see her again.
