It may be naive, but generally I want the packing to resemble the product. Especially when it comes to food.
Usually all my TV dinners from Banquet look like the box - well almost. Pretend you take it out and plate it..yea right as IF...
Anyway, when it said "Refried Beans" yet pictured something closer to baked beans I didn't really know what to expect. Don't get me wrong. I like refried beans, but every time I've cracked open a can of Old El Paso it was mushy, not whole beans. Not soupy either.
I got soup! and two whole beans in my Banquet. See my picture with a fork in my beanny puddle.
Scarier still I ate it. And liked it. A lot. Used my juicy refried beans to dip my Enchilada and Tamale.
My sister asked me if I cooked it enough. Hello! When don't I microwave? Think it's a pretty safe bet that I can follow cooking instructions on a TV dinner. I'm competent at microwaving.
But just because I like being a PITA so much I called the 1800 number for ConAgra Foods to let them know I thought the packaging was misleading. The lady was very nice and I got some coupons for making the call. One for a Free Banquet® meal and 2 50¢ coupons, to which my sister also chided me with her comment, "what - to buy more of it?"
