Bedbugs close NYC store Hollister. The bedbugs were found in the SoHo store three weeks ago. There have been reports of bedbugs throughout NYC recently.
Hollister says that the bedbug infestation only affected isolated areas of the store. However, employees say that this is not true. In fact, there have been reports going on for at least 3 weeks.
In fact, despite many employees being covered with bites, the store continued to stay open and the employees to keep working. This is disgusting. It certainly poses a health issue because the store likely spread the bugs throughout its customers homes as well.
Bugs could have traveled to homes in clothes that people bought or wore in the store. Unbelievable that they waited so long to take care of this bedbug issue!
Right now Hollister is working on getting rid of the bedbugs in their 40,000 square foot NYC store. They hope to be rid of the problem quickly.
Yuck. Bedbugs are scary and difficult to get rid of. I can’t believe the store actually exposed its employees and customers for 3 weeks after they knew about the issue. Bedbugs have been a real problem lately, and they are costly to get rid of.
The whole thing makes me itch! Where you one of the unlucky people in the SoHo Hollister store?
