One of My Photos Was Used in a Magazine!

It wasn't National Geographic or anything like that..  Just a magazine from Monana.  It is called Rural Montana.   I found out about the magazine about two months ago, there were several issues at my dentist office, and I flipped thru one and then decided to check out the website.  While on the website I found out you can submit photos of Montana, and things in Montana, and if they use one they will pay you.  $100 for a cover, $10 for the reader photo section and $25-50 for photos used anywhere else in the magazine.  So about a month ago I submitted a few of my recent Montana photos to the magazine.

I just found out today, when I got home and checked the mailbox.  I had recieved an envelope from them with 2 copies of the July issue (containing my photo).  Also included was a check for $25!  It may not be a lot, but I was pretty excited to get paid anything for my photo! 
I am just a bit disappointed that when they put in on the page, part of the bottom, including most of the dock, was cropped to fit the page.  Also, they did use it on the calendar and events page, so the events are over the top of it.  BUT, hey $25 is $25 and I cannot complain about THAT..  So I am pretty excited.   Plus, we could really use that money right now.
