Clouds; Big White Fluffy Ones - Photo Essay - 01 July 2010

Donna and I have a new camera. We desperately wanted to upgrade from our 2.1 Mega Pixel Vivitar to something newer. We settled on a 12.1 Mega Pixel Nikon CoolPix L22. It takes both stills and video (with sound). It has a vast number of useful settings as well as an "Easy Mode" that I am liking.

Out driving the other day we were treated to some really dramatic white and fluffy clouds. We snapped a few pictures and I'm sharing them below. All pictures were taken while driving the agricultural plains just west of Columbus, Ohio.

To smile and twinkle

On Delta wave trickle

Enthralled by heavens delight

The white clouds form and reform
Sometimes castles sometimes fantastic animals
Sometimes tiny white puffballs sometime huge thunderheads
But always and ever just white clouds
And that is their wonder

I like clouds, especially the big white fluffy ones. Not so thrilled with the dark rain-filled ones. :)

That's a great camera. Look at the pro's on TV. Most of them are using Nikons. I love laying in the grass & looking up at cumulus clouds. You can imagine seeing any number of things in them. I love when I decend down through them when flying. They look like you could step out and walk on them.
