My first attempt at a snippet. Reading Sharon P's "Dreamer's Eye" inspired me to put my experience last night into a snippet.

My eyes open.
Someone is standing over me.
I scream.
He disappears, my heart pounds.
A nightmare?
My dog doesn't stir.
My eyes close.
Sleep overtakes me.
