I didn't discover roasted green beans until about a year ago, but I've been a huge fan ever since!
My go-to recipe for them is just a simple olive oil rub with some salt and pepper. Â However, I recently found this Sesame Roasted Green Beans recipe and decided to give it a try. Â I'm so glad I did, I love the sweet/hot combo that it provides! Â Instead of garlic and red pepper flakes, I used some chili garlic sauce. Â I also sprinkled rice seasoning on them after they were cooked instead of using sesame seeds, but other than that I followed the recipe.
Although they require a fair amount of oven time, you don't have to be around them when they are cooking, so it makes for a good summertime recipe.
These are addictive - but that's a good thing. Â There isn't much in there that is bad for you, so these would make a great substitution for chips when you're having a sandwich! Â I ate mine with some pinto bean sloppy joes.
