You can watch the BET Awards 2010 live online tonight, and follow the live streaming show as Prince and John Legend receive huge honors and a handful of high-profile performers take the stage.
Follow the event live right here.
Performers include Eminem, Kanye West and Alicia Keys.
Prince will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, a fitting honor for a musician who has spanned several decades and somehow managed to remain relevant. He has been eccentric, no doubt, but his music continues to find time on the airwaves, and he is revered in music circles as a true legend.
Speaking of legends, John Legend will receive the Humanitarian Award for his work in the community. Legend is another special talent, a talented musician with crossover appeal. He has the R and B market cornered, of course, but he's equally visible in the world of hip hop. He has collaborated with countless big names and has made a name for himself, as well, playing events that have included President Obama's inauguration.
As for nominees at the show, Jay-Z leads the way with five nominations, while his main squeeze Beyonce is up for four, as is Alicia Keys and two others.
