Last night I got home from my vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. It was a great trip!! I arrived last Saturday and checked into our resort. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin with a full kitchen and living room. I unloaded and after discovering my cooler leaked all over my suitcase, I started hanging my wet, but clean clothes around to dry. I brough some groceries with me and put them away. I called this a relaxation night since I had been driving for 9 hours.
My mother, sister, and sister's boyfriend arrived the next day and we headed downtown Gatilinburg. We just poked around the shops and stuff then came back to swim in the pool.
On Monday, I had to sit through a timeshare presentation and them we all headed over to Pidgeon Forge to look around. We picked up more gorceries and hit the liquor store...MUDSLIDE NIGHT!!
On Tuesday, my mom went to the outlet mall and the rest of us went to the indoor waterpark at the resort. Then we got cleaned up and and went to a wine and cheese social at the resort then took the trolley into town. We rode the sky lift to the top of the mountain and did some shopping. PINA COLADA NIGHT!!!
On Wednesday, we went to Cades Cove and saw a bear in he woods...cool!!! Then we went tubing down the river. This was fun until I got knocked out of the tube and hit my head on the rocks in the river...then was dragged along bottom while I was trying to regain my tube. WHISKEY ON THE ROCKS NIGHT!!!
On Thursday, we did one of the on site activities and decorated our own srting bags...yes it was for kids, but we did not care. After the craft we hit the waterpark again, showered, and went back to town.
On Friday, we did a windchime craft at the resort and hit a flea market. The it was time to start packing up to head home.
VACATIONS ARE WAY TOO SHORT!!!!
