With the Obama administration recently announcing that the Justice Department will bring a lawsuit against Arizona’s illegal immigration law, the federal government has once again demonstrated an unmatched ability to waste resources and completely disregard public opinion.
This administration does not care that taxpayer dollars will be used to fund this lawsuit instead of beefing up border security or building a fence. This administration does not care that, according to a poll by Rasmussen, 70 percent of Arizonians approve of the legislation. And this administration certainly does not care about the towns and communities across Arizona that are being ravaged by crime and drug smuggling, courtesy of illegal immigrants.
Oddly enough, it was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who announced in Ecuadorforeign soil, especially without notifying Governor Jan Brewer that it was about to take place. that the Obama White House was moving forward with a legal challenge. It is preposterous that such a high ranking official in the administration would make this proclamation on
The only good news to come from all this is that Attorney General Eric Holder, who famously criticized the bill without any knowledge of what it actually said, may be finally forced to read the immigration law in order to present the government’s case.
Perhaps then he will realize that the law is fair and reasonable, which explains why it is so strongly supported within Arizona and throughout the United States. Contrary to deafening liberal hand wringing, this bill has nothing to do with racial profiling and everything to do with enforcing preexisting federal laws that have been ignored for far too long. The federal government has, for years, failed to secure the border and protect the people of Arizona, so our state took matters into our own hands.
Although Eric Holder will not be able to find a single statute that is violated by S.B. 1070, it will not stop him from engaging in a first-rate publicity stunt, with taxpayers footing the bill. Knowing that advocates of amnesty and open-borders comprise an important section of his Democratic base, Obama is using the Justice Department to play politics and rally support for this fall’s upcoming elections.
Now is the most important time for common sense conservatives in Arizona to stand with the AZ GOP as we push back against lies and distortions from left-wing media, in addition to helping elect conservative representatives that will secure our border.
There is a silver lining that will come from any federal lawsuit: We will WIN in the courts! Conservatives in Arizona welcome a legal challenge to S.B. 1070. We are eager for the law to be upheld in the Supreme Court so that other states will be free to pass similar legislation. But everything hinges on the next few months. Help the AZ GOP succeed now so that the rest of our great nation can reap the rewards in the future.

It's insane that the Obama administration is still going forth with suing Arizona over a law that mimics the federal law. Instead of spending money suing, they should spend money actually protecting our borders.
Do a Google search of your own and see what it costs us each and every day to have these illegals here. Some areas are harder hit than others. Schools have to teach them, even though their parents are not contributing via taxes.
In one study I saw about California, it said that only 2% of illegals work picking citrus and other crops (remember.... liberal/progressives claim they all work in jobs the rest of us don't want). But a full 29% are on welfare or other government assistance. Is it any wonder that financial situation is so horrible - in California, in other states where there are lots of illegals, and in the country?
Stand with Arizona on this. They are in the right.
Obama prefers to give amnesty to all the illegals who are here now. He must know that they would be his only hope for another term as president.

So it is upon the shoulders of Congress to change or amend such processes and the executive to enforce the law. We have a lack of action on the latter so Arizona is stepping up to the plate to enforce the existing law, as the saying goes, "nature abhores a vacuum."
Shandi, since you are an ardent supporter to the Constitution, I'm glad you support the 2nd Amendment, tell me, which do you like 9mm or .45ACP?
Pick me! Pick me! I know.
Reaching for straws.
And you know this how Marilyn?
The Arizona law will, if stringently enforced, place additional burdens on an already over burdened Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation leading to MORE, not less, illegal residency. People will be released after being picked up to await hearings that are already backlogged by two years. In that time frame a dedicated illegal can be in a different state in a different job with different forged paper. THE MAJOR EFFECT ALREADY BEING SEEN IS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, PARTICULARLY DRUG SMUGGLERS MOVING TO OTHER STATES.
Honestly, I am glad to be in Arizona, if Oklahoma and Kansas get all the troubles we are having with illegals, I will consider the law a raging success. GOOD LUCK MISSOURI, You get the problem next.
