Danielle Staub, one of the original Real Housewives of New Jersey, was on The Joy Behar Show Thursday night and she didn't hold anything back.
Joy looked like she was ready to rip into Staub as she sometimes does when she gets up on her high horse. But it looks like Behar, like me, ended up coming away with an entirely different viewpoint about Danielle.
Instead of the "don't you ever call me crazy!" confrontational Danielle Staub we're used to seeing on the Bravo show (and who caused me to tune out pretty quickly...) we got the sober, reflective and entirely sane Danielle Staub that she must hold in reserve from the rest of the world. Unless it was an act. If so, she doesn't belong on Reality TV. She belongs on a scripted drama instead. (Plus, I gotta say, maybe it was the lights, but she looked really hot!)
There is no video out there yet of the interview so I'll have to wait for an update. But I wanted to go on record saying maybe we should give Danielle a second look.
In the interview she was typically hesitant to reveal too much about what has made up her psyche in her lifetime, preferring to dole out the standard "you'll have to read about it in my book" PR line most of the time. But she did tell enough about what has actually happened to her in her formerly VERY troubled life to make her SEEM like the crazy Biatch everybody else has labeled her with.
She claims she had nothing to do with the release of the sex tape making its rounds on the web as we speak. Or that she's made any money off of it (she hasn't.) It's a little confusing who DID release the tape since she claims it was NOT her then boyfriend either. Huh?
Oh well. There are stranger mysteries to unravel in the world...
