Beware of Claws on all accounts!
I've always enjoyed mimicing a cat's vocalization and have had some nice conversations with various felines in my lifetime, but this was different.
It was just about dusk on an overcast and drizzly day when I approached the 'big cat' area.
I don't know exactly what specific critter it was, but I'm thinking Panther.
Anyway, as I approached the fence I started making some totally improvised vocalizations. Whatever I said, it appeared that the cat was really interested in trying to get over the fence, leaping up several times.
Not in a vicious, snarling, "I'm going to rip you up and eat you" kind of way, more like a strong, affectionate curiousity.
