Does Robert Pattinson impress Kristen Stewart with his dad's love advice?

Monday night Robert Pattinson appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for an interview to promote the new Twilight Eclipse movie. For his appearance, Rob brought along two very special guests near and dear to his heart who were sitting in the audience -- his parents!

During his interview, R-Patz read some emails his dad had sent him. The segment was so funny and cute! From the messages, you get the idea that Robert Pattinson's father must be a really refined British dude. In an email message that Rob read out loud to Jay and the audience, his father shared a simple, yet romantic gesture for wooing the ladies. (The trick by the way has already worked on Rob's mum.) Do you think he takes his dad's advice seriously? Could Robert Pattinson have tested a trick or two from his father on Kristen Stewart? I don't know that she'd be impressed. She seems to bore easily.

Would you take romantic advice from your parents? If both of them are still together, it might be worthwhile to listen. You'd think they know what they're talking about! However, are the romantic gestures of generations past still effective today? Does a simple romantic gesture work for you? Or do you need more, such as fancy dinners and gifts, to peak your interest?
