Chris Klein Arrested for DUI

According to USA Today, Chris Klein, the actor whose appearance as the sensitive guy in American Pie, has been arrested for DUI. He was weaving across several lanes of traffic on the Los Angeles 101 Freeway. He didn't resist arrest and was released without having to post bail. There is no word yet on what his Blood-alcohol level was. His dog was also in the car, but a friend came and got the dog. Did he take the dog to the bar with him and why didn't he call this friend to come retrieve him from the bar instead of driving? This isn't the first time he has faced DUI charges. He was also arrested in 2004 for the same thing.

Stars are going to do silly senseless things, many of which have been done by the best of us at one time or another. When you put other people in danger though, you move into a whole new level. Drunk driving puts not only himself in danger, but others around him on the 101 and anywhere else he had been driving prior to his arrest. I don't understand why he couldn't have a friend drive him home or for that matter if he thought he might get smashed, why didn't he just take a taxi to the bar? To me it shows poor judgment and total disregard for the lives of those around him.

So whats going to happen to him? I say a slap on the wrist and a stout "Don't do that again Chris". Meanwhile, the rest of the DUI'ers will be on the side of the road picking up trash and serving at least a weekend in jail. Care to share your thoughts on this by leaving a comment?
