Oh my gosh! I have got to get me a nice camera .... uhhhhh, do they have classes on how to use them .... LOL! This is wonderful. I love moon pictures, I think I'm part wolf or maybe just an old dog, but full moons are so very pretty I can't resist gazing at them. Your pictures are fantastic. Bravo! Here my applauding? I am.

Many great cameras are on sale now for Fathers' Day, and I would recommend a Canon they have great optics, and they are rather easy to use, point, zoom and shoot!

I shall do what I can! Is it the presentation or the images themselves? I think I might make the viewing area just a bit larger so that the vertical images will not appear cropped. Then you can always go the You tube and view it thee!

I really like the zooming in and out, but of course the actual Moon shots are the real draw. The way you present them is really nice and I appreciate the date/time stamps on each one.

But I do have a question: what's the point of light to the upper right of the Moon in the very first shot? Venus or Jupiter? I could look it up by date with my Starry Night planetarium program if I wasn't so lazy. :-)

Gary, I have not a clue, it could be a plane or a star. I am in the Logan Air port takeoff/landing path so it could be anything given the vantage point from which I took the photo. I was standing in a 55 acre park that night on a path which runs E/W and the moon was clearest in the W/N/W sky.

You may be one of only a very few who might appreciate the data for each image, for that I thank you. I have also posted the images into an Album here for those who want a better, or still image view. I take great joy in tracking or chasing the moon and labeling the images is new for me yet, I find it quite helpful, so thanks for the feedback! :+}

For May 16, 2010, I'm now pretty sure that was Venus you caught! At least that's what I deciphered from my planetarium program when I decided to be un-lazy! :-)

Well I am gob-smacked! I saw it and had no clue! My focus is the Moon, and like my sunrise images, one never knows what is also in the frame in a capture. Bravo to me! LOL
