This past weekend, we went fishing two different days. We really didn't catch much on either day but it was fun and relaxing.
On Friday night, we went to a place called Oak Island. Many people go there, not only to fish but to see all the ducks and geese as well. There was lots of seaweed and I kept getting stuck in it.

And I even managed to catch some.lol

I had more fun watching the geese than I did fishing. I took pictures of them but was only happy with one picture.

Then we moved to a place called Luce's Park. Its a small area where my Dad liked to go fishing. It is so peaceful. At one point I thought I felt my father's presence. I sure wish he would help me catch some fish.lol

And here is Tom and Penny fishing off the railroad bridge. I won't go out there as I am a big chicken.lol

On Saturday, we went to a place called the Mud Locks. I have posted things from there before. Its a popular spot to fish. I wasn't thrilled with it because a lady had fallen in and drowned a few days before. I just couldn't get that thought out of my mind. The grandkids went with us and they make me nervous around water anyway, so on top of what happened, I'm suprised I didn't have a nervous breakdown.lol
JD, the youngest(he will be 4 in a few days), wasn't thrilled with fishing but he found some things to keep him occupied.

Jordyn, who is 6, caught a fish without anyone's help at all. He even puts the worm on the hook. He is growing up so fast. Just recently he learned how to tie his shoes and ride a two wheeler. Now he is on his way to becoming a great fisherman.

The place wasn't as packed as it usual is, so we were able to spread out. In this picture (from farthest away) is my daughter-in-law, my son, Jordyn, Tom, JD and my best friend Penny(I seldom go anywhere without my Penny.lol)

My daughter-in-law was very proud of her fish.......until Tom tried to get her to kiss it.lol

Tom managed to catch the biggest fish of all of us, a pike. I've been told that they are hard to catch but Tom didn't have any trouble at all. Of course, this is a small one.

I hope you enjoyed my fishing pictures. I'm sure there will be more. Thanks for stopping by.
