"Christian" Band Calls For The Execution Of Gay People And Michele Bachman Thinks It's Just Super

The Minnesota Independent notes that a Christian rock band in Minnesota, which has called for LGBT people to be killed and targeted for violence, has built an incestuous relationship with the state's GOP, including intimate ties with the campaigns of Rep. Michele Bachmann, and gubernatiorial candidate Tom Emmer. Moreover, the band -- known as You Can Run But You Cannot Hide -- also received a GOP-sponsored booth at this year's state Republican Convention. Just what does You Can Run But You Cannot Hide have to say about the subject of homosexuality? Well, according to their front man, Bradlee Dean, they believe that gay people should be murdered, much like they are in conservative Muslim countries. "Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America," Dean said. "This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination."

Michele Bachmann has praised the band, saying, "It a tough job that you do, but someone has to do it. I thank God that he has given you the strength and the resolve to fight for our timeless values." Michelle Bachman. What a disaster. What a ridiculous excuse for a human being. I cannot fathom why she was first elected, nor re-elected. Says a lot about her constituents, doesn't it?
Well she was telling people not to take the census. Maybe her constituents listened and her district will be erased from the districting map.

MN constituents do include quite a heterogeneous mess for sure.

I'm ashamed as a Minnesotan that Michele Bachmann represents one of our Congressional districts. I don't live in her district, but I donate to & support her opponent, Tarryl Clark.
I don't even live in Minnesota but I think that it is an embarrassment for the country as a whole that this woman keeps getting elected.

Great idea - the exposure thing, but remember that if there is a Republican affiliation, most Republicans would never, ever go along with a philosophy even close to this. This appears to be more of a cult thing than anything. Pray it is watched by honest government officials and brought immediately to justice if a hair of a person's head is harmed.

I agree, the ability to discern is critical, and in this case I think the affiliation, as Holly noted above, is quit clear.

I imagine not everyone, despite party affiliation, knows what is going on inside every organization they are a part of but right now would be a great time to start paying attention, otherwise we all take the ride with them.

Everyone needs to take their own responsibility for who they are affiliated with or -- as I said, they take the ride with them and that may be down hill faster than they think with all of the recent exposure...

According to the Law of Moses, it was proper to pick up stones and to pelt the woman wearing the letter "A" on her breast. Then this new guy happened on the scene. He was wearing sandals and if you could see deep inside of him, he had the biggest heart of any man. He didn't stop them from stoning her, he said "Let Him who is without sin cast the first stone." They he turned away to see what would happen. As he scratched something in the sand, each one of them dropped their rock and walked away. I am sure they left with their heads hanging low.

Whether a person agrees with another person's lifestyle or not, they are not the ones to reign down judgement on these human souls that God has created. Jesus said in closing, "Woman, where are your accusers?" They were all gone, "Neither do I accuse you", GO AND SIN NO MORE.

The woman hearing this must make her own decision or live in the lifestyle that is unpleasing to her God. Free will is the hallmark of the day we live in as is grace which should abound. All of us will stand before our maker and have our day in his court. Let God be God and be his own judge of each of us. He has no henchmen, as men may sometimes say or think he does.

I don't even know what to say. Killing anyone for any reason (other than capital punishment when just) is WRONG WRONG WRONG. Killing because you want to serve as some purity monitor is even more so wrong. I hope they are ready for a life behind bars.

"They know homosexuality is an abomination." (But killing is wonderful?) Ugh ugh ugh some people...

Knowing and understanding Minnesota is at times like these very difficult for many that live outside of Minnesota. Michele Bachmann runs in a very conservative christian part of the state. This is normal for me to see, however, others dont understand how it is in Minnesotat times. Michele Bachmann will be very hard to beat in November 2010. This info is actually good for her and her prospects at winning the next election.

We have a saying up here in Minnesota, I don't rermember it all however, it goes something like:

We don't need you,
We don't want you,
we have our own women up here and don't need you.

So it would be better if you stayed away.
As you're not wanted or liked at all up here.

Hadn't heard that one, Richard. Have lived in rural MN but half the time it was with back to the land types, or rock bands, or in a farmer's old house just so someone would keep the pipes from freezing, and butcher a cow and a pig. At least til he burned it down for the insurance.

Lucky for me I never saw the part you're talking about, though. But they're obviously out there. {:-/)={

The Duluth Lynchings occurred on June 15, 1920, when three black circus workers were attacked and lynched by a mob in Duluth, Minnesota. Rumors had circulated among the mob that six African Americans had raped a teenage girl. A physician's examination subsequently found no evidence of rape or assault.

There are still a lot of fire arms up here and people get killed still. Rural North country has a lot of folks that are self supporting and will protect their own

That's INSANE! There is nothing Christian about killing anyone. I don't care what their sexual orientation is. I'd like to see where in the Bible it says it calls to exterminate homosexuals or anyone for that matter. God Himself brought a great flood, closed the Red Sea onto the Egyptians, brought locusts, plagues etc....that killed a lot of people, but when did He ever command anyone else to kill?
Apparently these people have decided to play God by deciding who gets to live.

There are many places where killing people is justified by the bible and having sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is not the only bible justification of killing others

Remember the other post wher eI said Muslims need to separate church and state? Well, that applies here too! Before we think the Middle East has the monopoly on hating women and gays, realize it is happening here, too. What gets to me most is how gay it is to hate and shun women and only speak to men, then to say they do not tolerate homosexual feelings? They can't even stand the opposite sex!

These are the same people who are out there screaming about Shira law coming to the States, yet want to impose said law?

Seems to me that "the lady doth protest to much".
Yeah she and her band buddies are all for Sharia law if it means that they can kill gays and anyone else they disapprove of.
How (un)surprisingly convenient.
