Comedian Aziz Ansari and pop sensation Justin Bieber have an interesting past. You may recall on Funny or Die, that Ansari's character "Randy" claimed that Biebs, in an unnecessary violent encounter, stole his song "Baby".
But it's all water under the bridge for these two. Aziz Ansari and Justin Bieber are back together, this time for a comedy bit, opening up the MTV Movie Awards 2010. In the awards opener, an anxious Aziz wakes up from a dream, realizing the pressure he has on him for opening the show. He asks himself out loud, ""How am I get people excited before I get onstage?" Suddenly, Justin Bieber appears before him.
"Justin Bieber, what are you doing here?" asks Aziz Ansari.
"Here to make the girls go crazy," Bieber replies, whipping out a hairdryer to blow out his trademark shag. From there, both imagine girls screaming in the background.
Thanks to Biebs, Aziz has all the encouragement he needs. The comedian is off to host the show!
For those who missed it, Aziz was a great choice as the host of the MTV Movie Awards. He was so much better than Russell Brand who has hosted the Video Music Awards for the network the past two years. Biebs, though in a small role, was funny as well. It's nice to see that he doesn't always have to play the innocent pop star but can bring the laughs as well by parodying himself.
