Betty White is the last one standing. Earlier this morning one of the remaining Golden Girls Rue McClanahan passed away with her sister and nephew by her side.
Blanche Devereaux, one of my favorite girls who was gold was 76 at the time of death. Rue's manager, Barbara Lawrence said the actress passed away at 1AM this morning in New York City after she had a massive stroke on Monday.
Fellow co-stars Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty have both passed away as well, so the only one still remaining is everyone's favorite Betty White.
White has said about Rue's death, "Rue was a close and dear friend. I treasured our relationship. It hurts more than I even thought it would if that's even possible."
Poor Betty has lived to see all her closest friends and costars pass away. I don't know if I would be terrified if I were her, or thankful she's got to live such a long and good life. White is more famous than ever now, and I don't think she's slowing down anytime soon. I am sad though to hear about Blanche, I loved her.
Rest in peace Rue McClanahan, our thoughts are with your family.
