I have taken aim at Rick Scott in a couple of posts. In his latest commercial, Rick Scott addresses the fraud case brought against the health care company he started.  Scott served as CEO of Hospital Corporation of America. That company was fined $1.7 billion dollars in the largest Medicare fraud case in history.
I like to give credit where credit is due. Although it doesn't erase my doubts about this candidate, I do appreciate that he is talking about his past. Many a politician would continue to ignore questions or comments about past issues.
Would I vote for this guy? Absolutely not. Do I think he is being completely honest? No. I would still like to hear an explanation for buying hospitals and then closing them. There are still plenty of questions to answer, but I respect Scott for addressing the issue. In the spirit of full disclosure, Rick Scott has also started a website to tell his side of the story. View it here.
