The annual Nashville Lions Club Maifest is this weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 29-30. The event features music from live bands each evening (Fri and Sat), slow pitch softball, food and beverages, and Sunday's day-long car show. Normally, being May, it rains throughout Maifest but this year may be different. The forecast looks good. Maifest is located at Memorial Park in Nashville.
The most interesting part of Maifest, in my opinion, is the Maifest Car Show, an annual event that features dozens of classic cars in 33 classes from throughout the area. There's even a Model T that the owner drives down from 50 miles or so north of Nashville for the event. Registration is from 8am until noon, $10, display only $5. Judging by the Automobile Collectors Club, Greater Belleville Area. Three tropies per class, Best of Show, Lion"s Choice, dash plaques, attendance prizes.
