Supermodel Claudia Schiffer Names Daughter "Cosima"

Adding to those ever unique and "different" celebrity baby names, supermodel Claudia Schiffer has named her third child, Cosima.  The model, 39, and husband, filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, welcomed Cosima May 14 in London, and the baby girl joins older siblings Clementine, 5½, and Caspar, 7.

My brother and his wife also named their child an unusual name, Ender.

My goddaughter is named Skye and at the time that was unusual, she is almost 30.

Again, it's not that unusual in my home country of Scotland, where Skye is situated! Isla (for the island of Islay) is also not unusual here!

I've met a couple of Ionas when I have ventured north of the border Ishbel.

These are pleasant names, not nearly so dificult to pronounce as Irish or Welsh traditional names. I wonder what Gatherite would make of Grainne, Myfanwy or Aisling...

I was at school with an Aisling..! Yes, she was Irish.
Yep, Ioana's another place name popular in Scotland - unfortunately, those fowk are the butt of the 'I own a what' jokes!
